The Government of Minneapolis is attacking George Floyd Square – Here’s What You Need to Know.

On June 3rd, 2021, just 9 days after the 1st Anniversary of George Floyd’s murder & the start of the Minneapolis Uprising, the City Government bribed the black men of ÁGAPE to desecrate George Floyd Square.
Paid $359,000 to do the city’s bidding, ÁGAPE started tearing down George Floyd Square at 4:30AM.
They say it was supported by residents and businesses, but something with widespread appeal doesn’t happen at 4:30AM with no notice.
They say it had been planned and communicated, but multiple Minneapolis City Council members found out about it on Twitter.

8 hours later Mayor of Minneapolis Jacob Freygave a press conference to with Andrea Jenkins and ÁGAPE on their forcive reopening of George Floyd Square, where Frey & Jenkins lied for Chief Arradondo and ÁGAPE lied for Frey.

George Floyd Square set up a community forum, and many residents and community members spoke. It was a stark contrast to the Lies-For-Publication of Frey’s conference, and the most palatable feeling was one of betrayal.

Not an hour later, Law Enforcement assassinated Winston Smith

8 vehicles surround Winston Smith’s vehicle on an Uptown parking ramp, shortly after shooting him to death with multiple bullets

A Minneapolis resident who shares his name with the protagonist of George Orwell’s 1984, Winston “Boogie” Smith was an actor, https://www.instagram.com/tv/CN0u-t0hGj-/?utm_medium=copy_link

A musician,

Comedian, https://www.instagram.com/p/CPhJiovBLqC/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

And Father.

There is widespread understanding that he was assassinated for being a Black Revolutionary.

He often gave motivational, revolutionary speeches through livestream

In the wake of his death, news agencies rushed to get the scoop, and law enforcement were happy to give them false information. In this media flurry, he was wrongfully accused of murder, called nothing more than a criminal.

It was like reliving the death of George Floyd, when the Star Tribune, recently awarded the Breaking News Pulitzer Prize, listed his death as “Caused by a Medical Incident whilst in Police Custody” for multiple days.

“What I think makes me angriest is it feels like we just did a whole cycle around the anniversary of journalistic types remarking on how totally false the initial police narrative around the murder of george floyd and how fucked it would have been if that had stood unchallenged. ~ carp retribution on Twitter

The Star Tribune has allowed articles by those who support the Square, but it feels more like they’re playing both sides, not siding with the community. Their own reporting, and corporate structure, is often a lot more sinister.

Boogie also reminded me of Murphy Ranks, a Jamaican musician whom lived and died less than a block from the final resting place of George Floyd.

Just after a protest for Winston Smith, I caught up with Dave Bicking, a member of Communities United Against Police Brutality.

CUAPB is a mutual aid and community activism group in Minnesota… It’s basically Police Brutalities version of the Chemical Weapons Research Consortium.

Dave Bicking of CUAPB talks on George Floyd Square & Minneapolis Police.

As of writing, it’s June 13th, 2021, and George Floyd Square just posted to their official Instagram account.

White gawkers speeding through where children play. Because the City Government of Minneapolis (Jacob Frey & Andrea Jenkins puppeteered by Chief Arradondo) decided to “open” George Floyd Square…

To police & speeding cars.

Cause what I guess people never learned was, George Floyd Square was never “closed.”
George Floyd Square is a neighborhood, and with it should come the respect that anyone should have when walking through somebody else’s neighborhood. But the only people George Floyd Square was closed to were cops & speeding cars.

I remember that while CHAZ fell quickly, both attacked by police and collapsing from the inside out, George Floyd Square was technically an autonomous zone too.

CHAZ was long gone, a forgotten memory.

Portland is still in the streets for Black Lives Matter, against Law Enforcement who last year used so many Chemical Weapons to turn children’s playgrounds into deadly Haz-mat Zones.

“The various chemical agents that federal and local police are currently using in Portland are harsh enough I’ve heard reports of mass vomiting, one man’s arm hair burning off, and 3 seizures in one night. Trees and shrubs that have survived 2 months of tear gas and pepper spraying are now becoming scorched due to the Fed’s use of chlorine gas (CS-DM & CN-DM gas) whose smell fills the house of my friend’s apartment a mile away, and has been reported to be smelled 2–5 miles away from the protests. I’ve heard reports of nerve gas, and of mixing of adamcite (otherwise known as DM gas), a vomit inducer, and CN gas, an eye, mouth, throat, and nasal passage irritant 5 times more toxic than the CS tear gas that has largely come to replace it.”

Police never stopped attacking Medics, Journalists & Activists

But George Floyd Square, George Floyd Square never left.

George Floyd Square was still going strong.

EMT Services wouldn’t enter GFS without police, so Native Americans established a Medic Station that quickly became staffed by queer & asian activists, later officially established as M*A*S*H* 612.

Whilst small businesses closed across the U.S., most on George Floyd Square were able to stay in business. But as poverty increased across the country, Minneapolis politicians sought to blame an uptick in crime on those calling attention to Police Brutality & a loss of faith in the system. They ignored the correlation between crime and poverty during a combined economic depression and pandemic. Instead blaming activists whom hadn’t even been given 1/6th of their demands.

Despite the majority of people supporting Defund the Police and even the burning of the 3rd Precinct.

Politicians use George Floyd Square as the scapegoat for a widespread rise in violent crime, but it is a baseless claim

George Floyd Square didn’t have more crime, it had more help.

I remember in the first 10 days after the first Nurse joined M*A*S*H* 612, we saved 16 lives in 2 days.

I remember the night of June 7th, when 2 young boys were biking in Minneapolis.

They both were shot with live ammunition.

They had a decision to make: Go north away from danger, or south towards 38th & Chicago (George Floyd Square)

One turned left, right into M*A*S*H* 612. He was treated by paramedics on-site, onto a stretcher, and home from the hospital in 4 hours.

The other young black kid, who turned away from George Floyd Square, collapsed and died of his wounds almost immediately.

It sounds like a parable, but it’s real, and reminiscent of more recent events in places still more reliant on Police than mutual aid networks and street medics.

George Floyd Square was Black Minneapolis allowed the economic and social freedoms of White Minneapolis.

GFS wasn’t just a place where medics helped people instead of Police shooting people. It’s part of one of the most people-friendly cities in the U.S. Black Minneapolis fighting out of the constraints of Redlining, fighting to create the Minneapolis that we all know it could be.

See, what non-residents may not realize is Minnesota is extremely segregated, a fact reflected in the rest of America in more ways than one would like to admit.

Indeed, America was resegregating even just 3 years after Integration, when Martin Luther King Jr. spoke about it shortly before being assassinated.

I grew up on the suburbs; on the richer, whiter side of the tracks. I have a lot of memories growing up in the Minneapolis that‘s one of the beautiful urban spaces in the United States.

The Minnesota Science Museum was once in a location where you cold go out the mezzanine and it felt like you were in a tiered city. You could walk along in the sunshine, get a train across the river, all whilst the cars passed below. It was amazing.

Pedestrianized spaces and public transportation are what help Minneapolis rank 16th in the 2015 Copenhagenize Index of the most bikeable cities in the world, the only U.S. City to appear on that list.

George Floyd Square was the first predominantly black neighborhood I had ever been to that felt like that. Not a black suburb, not a city with miniature Central Parks, a truly pedestrianized city.

There is a Free Library, a map for visitors to pin where they came from. And a lot of greenery. There is a greenhouse right infront of the Chicago Fire Arts Center, a garden surrounds the Fist in the middle of the square. Annual flowers are planted in the alleyways. A seasonal vegetable garden sits right next to the Say Their Names Walk.

I met a man who brought the soil for the vegetable garden, he had come at around midnight, and by 2am, it was all laid out and assembled.
He told me “all the flowers and all that passes away, have been laid down. All the rows and rows and rows of roses will be added to compost. cause George will keep on living”

Though many work together to bring his dream to life, these gardens are the the dream of a single man.

Jay The Gardener, the modern day Hattie Carthan.

As Anthropogenic Climate Change drives humanity to migrate towards the poles, in from major floodplains, Minnesota could be the new New York or Seattle.

Just like Austin Texas is the new San Francisco.

But people like Tim Walz and Jacob Frey are trying to remove the communities that create the modern-day Grunge; give Hip-Hop & Funk their new Motown Districts.

Pedestrianized Spaces are healthier for cities & people, public transport is good for cities & people.

The barricades do more than just protect against lynchings and speeders.

I don’t think anybody outside of Mutual Aid & Activist circles can understand how many lives Mutual Aid saves, the long-term benefit closing George Floyd Square will have.

Politicians view #NoJusticeNoStreets & Mutual Aid Camps as nothing more than insult.

Monuments to their failed legacy, to Law Enforcement’s Legacy as Slave Catchers, to the U. S. Government’s Legacy of Genocides, Slaveries, & Apartheids.

So they try to destroy Homeless Camps and Mutual Aid Networks and George Floyd Square, not realizing they’re integral to support networks that save lives. Mutual Aid is just the modern day community support network, that we’ve been without for so long. But they view it as something new, a failure of capitalism instead of a success of any other system.

Politicians slash open safety nets not realizing they’re what protect from an insane death toll. Governments seeks to destroy homeless camps & even #GeorgeFloydSquare cause they doesn’t realize that these are part of integral support networks keeping people alive.

The only Minneapolis residents I see support the City’s decision to desecrate George Floyd Square—Who aren’t law enforcement or corporations, tend to be racist or mentally unstable.

Think QANON or racists you find in Twitter comments, often members of cult-like sectors of American Christianity.

There once was a Christian preacher who moved into GFS with a small crowd. His megaphone was loud and got louder each day. Each day more and more religious white ladies congregated around his stage. Anybody could have the mic all throughout the day. Soon it got so loud that it felt like I couldn’t hear my own thoughts. I saw an old white lady muttering about the apocalypse at dusk in gang territory.

It seemed like conservative think tanks, whose politicians took over the U.S. Government, using White Christians from the Bible Belt in the same way the U.S. “Defense” Sector used religious extremists across the world.

Here is a podcast that is one of the most thorough breakdowns of this, in the U.S. and world at large

Late in June, rumors were spreading that somebody found a water bottle poisoned with GHB, somebody had tested positive for MDMA upon only consuming cigarettes and alcohol. A 5G conspiracy theorist showed me Freemason Bibles hidden in potted plants by the same undercover cops who harassed members of Medic Tent.

It was then, walking past the Cult’s stage close to dusk, that my eyes darted across their speakers.

They were LRAD 500x’s, 2 stacked atop each-other on both sides of the stage.

Here’s a snippet from an article of mine to convey the terror of LRADs:

“The LRAD is strong enough for long-range emergency communication in naval warfare. Fitting – it felt like I was underwater. I could barely hear my own thoughts. It muffled their gunshots. The thing with LRADs is they can be used above and below the human hearing range. The higher frequencies are more recognizable, a piercing whine that gives you an instant headache and leaves you holding your temples and rocking back and forth, but the lower frequencies – your subconscious might not even recognize.

Your brain can’t tell where it’s coming from. Both your body and brain may be attacked to the point of debilitation and incapacitation, but in a way neither can comprehend, where your brain can’t detect the threat. You might not even realize you’re in pain until you realize what’s happening. The technology they’re built upon also allows for the focusing of the “sound beam”, thus that you may be tortured in a way that leaves no visible injury without the people beside you even noticing.

An LRAD 1000′s maximum loudness is around 160dB, and it’s operating distance is ≈1,800–3,000 meters.

They were well under that lower bound.”

See, where LRADs were most often deployed was in Standing Rock, where they would be used for prolonged periods at a volume and range just high enough to make it hard to think, hard to sleep. Against indigenous protestors, activists, and medics.

The auditory background radiation of GFS, The Mecca of Minneapolis, made it so an LRAD was hard to listen out for. This meant that there was no telling how high a decibel level these 4 LRAD500x’s had been operating at. We didn’t notice when it started, we only noticed when it got to be too much.

I remember when a crazy old white lady came from the side street and tried to run over Medics back in early June, I was so exhausted after like 20 hours awake making sure that there’d be footage if somebody came to fuck up the Square.

Walking out to take a break, I was 4 feet from being hit by her.

Now somebody can use the City “Opening Up” the square to get away with vehicular manslaughter.

Minneapolis Government seems to be trying to gentrify & pave over George Floyd Square whilst keeping it’s historical value… basically trying to create an Amusement Park of Black Death.

Remember, we’re going through an economic depression and epidemic simultaneously. Imagine if there was a highway going straight through Detroit during the height of MoTown, whilst the White Supremacist government worked to destroy the lives and livelihoods that were responsible for creating that music, their manufacturing jobs responsible for the economic boom.

The Government is Gentrifying the home of Lizzo, Prince, Atmosphere, HAPHDUZN, Hippo Campus, Husker Dü, Bob Dylan, Trampled By Turtles, The Replacements, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, paving it over to be gawked at by white moms from the bible belt.

As the Second Economic Crash looms.

White supremacists & Colonialists take over more and more of government and Law Enforcement, even Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are among their ranks.

As the possibility of a 2nd Wave of Corona Virus looms (because the companies that manufactured the virus refused to give up the patents for so long, another from the legacy of colonialism through companies like when Britain colonized India and the Belgains colonized the Congo.)

As the whole world went to shit, George Floyd Square stayed strong.

George Floyd Square is the most human landmark Minnesota ever had, and they’re trying to corporatize it so hard it’s like they forgot they still have The small of America.

They’re trying to destroy modern black music (Murphy Ranks and Wince Me Boi), black community like Tulsa (George Floyd Square), and Pave over their lives like Rondo (George Floyd Square)

Politicians like Jacob Frey, Tim Walz, and Tim Wheeler view #NoJusticeNoStreets & Mutual Aid Camps as monuments to their failed legacy, so they try to destroy them, not realizing they’re integral to support networks that save lives. They slash open safety nets not realizing they’re what protect from an insane death toll.

I don’t know what the future holds.

But George Floyd Square still stands.

Portland still fights.

The artists of Minneapolis keep painting and singing.

My younger sibling just graduated highschool.

They recently introduced me to this album:

Young activists like MNTeenJustice, Visual Black Justice, and DocumentingMN lead the charge against police brutality, MN AMP fights for Palestine,

I don’t know what the future holds.

But the kids are alright.

And the revolution? It won’t be televised.

The Revolution Will Be Live.
